Charles Stump has been an Oceanographer at the University of Washington since 1981. He goes by Chuck. He’s retired twice from the University but do not seem to do it well as he is going to sea again. He graduated from Ohio State with a BS in Zoology. After military service, Chuck worked as a medical technologist for fourteen years while he earned his degree in Oceanography. He has worked for Steven Emerson for thirty-five years as his technician. Chuck is currently working for Paul Quay and will be measuring O2/Ar, CO2, O2, fluoromtery from the underway line. He will also be collecting O2/Ar and DIC from most casts.
